Heritage Farms was homesteaded in 1863 by Henry Becker when he returned from the Civil War after being wounded in the Battle of Gettysburg.  Henry is the great, great grandfather of the present owners, the Zeerips.  The original farm was a 160 acre dairy operation.

In 1971 the Zeerips opened a small fruit stand.  Since then the farm has expanded into a large fresh fruit and vegetable farm operating in both the wholesale and retail markets.
